The rocky coast of Maine is famous for its history of shipwrecks. 
Over the decades spilled cargo of colorful glass along with antique glass floats from lobster traps have been claimed by the sea. Sea action breaks them into pieces. Each piece is shaped, softened and polished by wave action and friction with pebbles, stones and rocks.  They then wash ashore and become the seaglass gems found today.

Each piece of sea glass is hand picked on the beach by Laura Pierce and sorted by shape and color.
